Ants live in large groups called colonies. Each colony consists of three types of ants. They are the queen , the workers ,and the males.

      The queen and the males have wings,while the workers do not.Usually,a colony consists of only one queen ant.The queen is the only ant that can lay eggs.The queen is also the largest ant is the colony.The workers have different duties to perform in the colony.Some take gather food and keep their home clean.

        Ants use their antennae to find and to find their way back home. Ants are omnivorous. They eat both meat and plants.
